| The Romagnole Riviera has always
been considered a huge entertainment factory, owing to the presence
of a multitude of pubs, cocktail bars, discos, recreation halls
and fun fairs. There’re also lots of open-airs shows and events
organised by the local town councils.
Cattolica and the Adriatic Riviera
Cattolica is set in an ideal position
on the Riviera. As far as dance clubs are concerned: it’s
only 7 km. From the most famous discos, those set in the hillside
between Misano and Riccione, another famous club is Baia Imperiale
which is to be found only a few minutes away in Gabicce Mare; for
live music, Cattolica has many squares where shows, concerts and
events are easy to find.
From the enormous Piazza della Repubblica to the
smaller Piazza del Mercato, where dance schools hold free lessons
during summer, just choose: Latin American or Romagnole style waltzes.
Moving along you reach Piazza 1° Maggio, with
its famous musical fountains. Or go along to the Park Le Navi where
among gardens and open-spaces you can enjoy live music...like that
of Mirko Casadei, son of the more famous Raoul, king of Romagnole
style music.

PARTIES
AROUND TOWN
During
the summer months, the Town Council organises, at its expense, various
shows and events around town. Every Tuesday in the Piazza Mercato
“Vamos a bailar”: Latin-American dance school, open
to all with instructors and animators, Wednesday; it’s the
turn of the folkloristic Romagnole style waltzes.
Theatre
and cabaret at an international level take place in the Arena della
Regina, last year (2002), as well as big time Italian stars, we
had the pleasure to present Alanis Morisette. This year, Battiato,
Mannoia and the very popular Italian comic group "Zelig"
will go on the stage!

FAMILY SPECIALS
As
well as offering shows and manifestations in the town squares, Cattolica
offers lots of entertainment for family
groups: the new esplanade along the beach, fully
illuminated, the lido open until late at night, as well as games,
dancing lessons and night-lit pools.
Families
with children will surely appreciate the electric cars in the recreational
halls and in the Giardini de Amicis, not far from where the 3 bars
are to be found. Lots of crazy golf courses too, cute, the one on
the beach at lido n°7.
Every
night, there’s a market somewhere in town, ranging from antiques,
to the flea market to that of the artists in Piazza delle Fontane.
